1 Way It Applies to Life & Business

Mindfulness is a concept that has been all the rave in our Eastern culture for the past decade or so. It’s been a hot topic for books, self-help blogs, and mental health practices. — And for good reason. It works!


It’s also a concept that has helped me immensely over the past 5 years in the fast-paced, ever busy, push, push, push culture of our current lives.


Mindfulness, very simply stated, is the act of being aware of what’s actually happening in your life right now at this very moment. That’s it! It sounds deceptively easy but unfortunately, it’s not. It takes practice.


Our minds get carried away so easily planning, worrying, learning, building that sometimes we forget that the life we are striving to create in the future is passing us by right now without realizing it.


Time is our most valuable resource. Creating a mindfulness practice is a great way to become more aware of how you are actually spending it so that you can make adjustments and do it better.


For me, mindfulness is like the bumper pads my kids used while bowling when they were toddlers. It keeps me on track towards my goal…even when sometimes I’m bouncing back and forth all over the place. Eventually, I get straightened out. And, if I practice enough, I get to the point that I don’t even need to think about the bumper pads.


THIS BOOK by Dan Harris is THE BOOK that initially took me down the mindfulness rabbit hole. And, I’m forever grateful for it. Check it out and see if it makes your life 10% Happier.
