Seeing the Light: On getting involved…

“Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.”

- Benjamin Franklin

1 Way It Applies to Life & Business

There’s nothing wrong with planning and learning.

In fact, in our family, we have a saying: Failing to plan is planning to fail.

But without action, all that planning and learning was just a waste of time.

This is the week of the New Year’s resolution.

You can make all the New Year’s resolutions you want — map them out, ask for advice, learn all about the obstacles you might face, plan for those, etc… — and, that’s great!

But, without actually getting the dirty work done, you might as well turn on the TV and put up your feet.

Go get your sparkly new shoes dirty by walking that darn path!

1 Question to Ponder

What’s the tiniest action you could make towards your goal TODAY?

Not after the New Year — TODAY.

Going deeper: What are the excuses you usually make not to take this action?

Start there.

Have a great week,

Megan Hoffer

P.S. To all of our photography students,

Remember that taking classes is great but putting what you learn into action is the most important part.

During our workshop offerings, we take the time to put all the classroom learning into action. And, we have THREE workshop offerings in January!

We hope to see you in class or at a workshop this month, fresh with new purpose in a new year.
